That’s not a money grab. It’s a deterrent.

I’m not so sure. Charge what the market will bear?

I think there is only a specific subset of Texans who will put up with a charge like that, and a possibly larger subset who would call for such a charge to be illegal.
But it’s SXSW; so, who knows, they might actually make money off of that crowd.

People from LA will pay. People from Austin will take the train and walk. The lot at the train station near my house is packed.

This is Austin, not Dallas.

Just buy a bike and lock off of CL, and throw it away after sxsw.

I’ll admit, my Dallas friends hang out with uppity crowds. They’re good people, but their cohorts up there... Damn. I just want to yell at them that SMU isn’t Harvard, working for Dad’s Hedge Fund isn’t being “self-made”, and being a debutante isn't necessarily a good thing.

Heh heh, well I suppose there are both the “uppity” you mention and the more grounded around here. I try not to judge too harshly. I suppose working for Daddy’s hedge fund is perfectly legit as long as you’re good at it. :)
